Every year at CFNC, the month of December is filled with the sound of the sound of joyful screams and howls of laughter. Why? Because every December, CFNC invites local businesses and individuals to join our students and teachers in the classroom to throw a holiday party! It truly is the most wonderful time of the year as these groups read holiday-themed books, do crafts, eat treats, and best of all, bring gifts.
Our partners at Lansinoh Laboratories, Wells Fargo, Biologics Consulting, Vanderweil, Cypress International, Cotton & Company, Applied Policy, and Greenfield Senior Living read amazing holiday-themed books such as “Snowmen at Night” by Caralyn Beuhner, “Pete the Cat’s 12 Groovy Days of Christmas” by James Dean, and “What Does it Mean to Be Kind” by Rana DiOrio, just to name a few.
But they didn’t stop there! After reading books, our students got to work making snowmen out of cotton balls, drawing Christmas trees, or creating their very own ornaments to bring home to their parents. Last, but certainly not least, our incredible partners collected gifts for each child and some even collected gifts for the entire classroom! After one little girl ripped of the wrapping paper and discovered her gift of a drawing set, she squealed “it’s just what I wanted!”
Thank you to everyone who participated in our holiday parties this year. We are so grateful!
In case your day needs brightening, here are the kids opening their gifts!
