On April 4, 2017 the community came together to eat free ice cream and support low-income preschoolers in Alexandria! During Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day in 2017, you raised over $5,000 to provide a free early education to Alexandria’s preschoolers. All of us at CFNC were amazed at how the incredible people of Alexandria and National Harbor came out to support their community.
Because of your support, 136 children entered kindergarten in September, 2017 not just ready to learn, but achieved academic results that were levels ahead of the kindergarten readiness standard! Thank you for making that happen.
On Tuesday, April 10 of this year, you have a chance to enjoy your favorite springtime treat AND provide a free, high-quality early education to the low-income children in your community! From 12PM – 8PM at the Ben & Jerry’s in Old Town (103 South Union Street) and National Harbor (138 National Plaza), you can get a free cone of delicious Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. All of your tips go directly to CFNC’s students! What could be better?
